In November 2010 over 100 people found employment, a reduction of 3.7%. In total 3087 people registered as unemployed in the City, some 4.1% of the working age population. In July 2011 the number of people registering as unemployed rose by just over 1% (DETNI, 2011). Over the last year unemployment in Lisburn has increased by just under 7%, highlighting continuing concerns about both local and global economic uncertainty.
